Registration and Waiting List
A ‘Registration Form’is required for your child’s placement at RedLeaf School of Early Learning. Completed ‘Registration Forms’ should be returned to the Centre as soon as possible to secure your registration, accompanied by the $50 non-refundable registration fee.
All options for placement are explored. If the vacancy is not suitable, (eg days and hours are not suitable; the parent and/or Care Provider’s expectations differ), children are entitled to remain on the waiting list until an appropriate vacancy exists.
Enrolment & Orientation
Upon successful placement, you will be required to complete the ‘Enrolment Package’. Completed ‘Enrolment Packages’ together with the two weeks fees in advance are to be forwarded to the Centre Director or dropped off at the Centre.
If a parent completes the Enrolment Form, pays the Registration Fee and fails to follow through, i.e. the child never commences attendance, then the Registration Fee are forfeit.
Is There Any Help With The Cost of Child Care?
Child Care Benefit (‘CCB’) is a payment made to families to assist with the cost of child care. This subsidy is ‘means tested’ and managed by the Family Assistance Office (‘FAO’). Parents should contact Centrelink on 136 150 to discuss their eligibility. The CCB is then subtracted from full fees owing to leave a gap fee which is the amount families pay to the Centre each week for childcare.A recipient of the CCB can choose to receive the subsidy in one of two ways:
- As a ‘Weekly Fee Reduction’; or
- As a ‘Lump Sum’ after the Australia Taxation Office (‘ATO’) has processed their tax return.
The FAO will notify the Centre of your nominated method. If you choose a weekly reduction in fees the FAO will inform both the Centre and yourself in writing of your CCB percentage. The Centre will then calculate the adjusted fee for your Family and issue you with your weekly account. Please note your account will show full fees until the Centre is notified by FAO of your CCB percentage.
CCB entitlement will be taken from the date that the Centre is notified by Centrelink. CCB entitlement can only be backdated the allowable 28 days, so failure to notify the FAO of your child’s attendance at RedLeaf School of Early Learning within the specified time frame can result in you not being able to claim CCB.
Families claiming CCB as a ‘weekly fee reduction’ with a child who exits the Centre prior to the end of the notice period will be charged the full schedule fee. CCB entitlement for this period must then be claimed directly through Centrelink.
